DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: ¡WELCOME TO PERU, AND TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL, IN LIMA!
¡Lima is a metropolitan city known for its colonial architecture and ‘ceviche’!
Once your flight touches Peruvian soil, and you have secured your luggage, localize your WEA Travel host who will be waiting for you, with your name on a sign, in the airport´s passenger arrival hall.
As we understand that your international flight is tiring, we will take you directly to your hotel, so that a hot shower and repairing rest might renew your energies, before starting your adventure in Peru.

Day 2: FROM LIMA TO THE INCAS´SACRED VALLEY !
The Sacred Valley is about 1,000 meters lower, in altitude, than Cusco, and it offers Serenity, Peace and an Inner Connection.
After breakfast, we will accompany you to the airport, to catch your flight to Cusco. On the way, you´ll enjoy wonderful aerial views of the Andes´ snowcapped peaks and mountains.
After a little over an hour of flying, you will arrive in Cusco and, from there, we´ll directly take you to the Sacred Valley, aboard a comfortable vehicle, so that you might fully enjoy the ride.
Your experience, in the Sacred Valley, will start with an exposition on the world-famous Giant White Corn, and its cultural impact, at the Hacienda Sara Pampa. Afterwards, a delicious degustation-lunch will take you on a savory experience, with a variety of dishes, prepared with corn. To conclude, enjoy a show with our famous Peruvian Step Horses and, if you feel like it, you´ll have a chance to mount one yourself, for a trot.

Day 3: FASCINATING INCAN COMPLEXES AND PISAQ´S COLORFUL HANDICRAFT MARKET
Ollantaytambo is known as the ‘Live Incan Village’, due to its Incan design and urban distribution that have survived up to our days.
Today announces a full program of emotions, experiences, connections and lessons.
First, we´ll explore the ancient village of Ollantaytambo; one of the scarce places that conserved their original Incan urban design and distribution. Then, we´ll visit a local family who will give us a warm welcome, and will describe their way of life, including the traditional way they raise ‘cuyes’ (Guinea pigs), with the possibility to have a taste of it, as a traditional dish, if you wish to.
Afterwards, we´ll visit Ollantaytambo´s Incan Architectural Complex. There, we´ll get to meet the Incas´ Punchao God, while we explore each enclosure, ask questions and listen to our guide´s answers and stories about that incredible site.
After lunch, which you´ll enjoy, with your guide, at a family hacienda house, in a nearby village, in the heart of the Sacred Valley, you will visit the Incan Architectural Complex of Pisaq, with its neighborhoods and areas, and will get to know more about the Incas´ secrets, in that part of the Sacred Valley.
Finally, you will receive our special environment-friendly shopping bags, and we´ll visit the colonial village of Pisaq, in an afternoon of cultural interchange, with opportunities for shopping handicraft and silver objects, if that is your wish.

Day 4: ENJOY THE EARLY MORNING PANORAMIC TRAIN, THROUGH THE CLOUD FOREST, AND VISIT MACHU PICCHU!
Machu Picchu will leave you breathless, with its beauty, energy and enigmatic atmosphere.
Get prepared for your trip´s most important day! In the morning, we´ll board the panoramic train, in Ollantaytambo, to travel to Machupicchu Pueblo. On the way, enjoy unmatchable views, while the train submerges into the cloud forest. Upon your arrival in Machupicchu Pueblo (Ex Aguas Calientes), we´ll have an early lunch, to recharge our batteries, before going up to the Incan City of Machu Picchu.
Then, a 30-minute uphill bus ride will take us to the main entrance of Machu Picchu; one of the World´s New Seven Modern Wonders. After the mandatory entrance procedure, you´ll enter the archaeological complex, in the company of your guide, to enjoy a private visit, and discover the secrets of that enigmatic architectural jewel that will leave you overwhelmed.
After that first visit, we´ll return to the village of Machupicchu Pueblo, to rest, in your hotel´s peace and commodity and, afterwards, a wonderful dinner, at the hotel´s restaurant, will conclude this memorable day.
Finally, enjoy a good night´s rest, enhanced by nature´s sounds, lulling you to sleep, from the surrounding cloud forest and green mountains.

Day 5: ¡HUAYNA PICCHU…WITHOUT A DOUBT, A UNIQUE VIEW OF MACHU PICCHU
Certainly, Huayna Picchu is an experience you shouldn´t miss, while you explore Machu Picchu.
Today, you´ll have the option between climbing up Mount Huayna Picchu or Mount Machu Picchu, to enjoy unmatchable views of the Incan city, from the top of either one of these two mountains.
So, it will depend on you, your physical condition and adventurer´s spirit to make it to the top. Please, take into account that there is a limited number of access tickets, per day, to either one of these two mountains. Therefore, if you want to make it there, you must buy your entrance tickets ahead of time, together with your entrance ticket to the Incan City of Machu Picchu.
Then, we´ll have lunch in Machupicchu Pueblo and, in the afternoon, we´ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where your WEA Travel host will be waiting, to transfer you aboard a comfortable vehicle, to your hotel, for a well-deserved rest.

Day 6: ¡VISIT MORAY, MARAS´ SALT MINES AND THE VILLAGE OF MARAS, ALL OF WHICH WILL DELIGHT YOU!
Moray is known as a great Incan agricultural laboratory, but, also, as an important energetic center.
After breakfast, at your hotel, we´ll take you to visit Moray; an important Incan agricultural complex, experts consider to have served as an agricultural laboratory, where the Incas used to genetically manipulate agricultural products, from lower altitude areas, to acclimatize and adapt them, so that they might grow and reproduce at different altitudes. In addition to that, they also managed to diversify the types and varieties of products they grew there.
Then, we´ll go on with the visit of Maras´ Salt Mines; an impacting site, located in the Maras Gorge, where the famous Pink Maras Salt is being extracted, with millenary techniques, since Incan times, and is recognized for its medicinal properties, as well as for its healthy use in cooking recipes, due to its low sodium content.
Once the salt mines´ visit over, we´ll head to the village, to enjoy a delicious countryside lunch, and interact with the local population, without the presence of the thousands of tourists who normally visit other heavily frequented attractions. On our way, we´ll appreciate the magnificent hand-woven fabrics local women weave, as well as the peacefulness of that typical Andean village the main feature of which resides in the carved-stone main entrance doors to its numerous colonial houses.
After that experience, a comfortable vehicle will take you back to your hotel, in Cusco, as your organism will then be ready to better withstand the Incas´ ancient capital city´s 3,400 meters above sea level.

Day 7: ¡EXPLORE THE MAGIC CITY OF CUSCO, AND ITS HISTORICAL CENTER, ON A PRIVATE TOUR
Cusco was the capital city of South America´s most important culture and, in its streets, one can still feel its history and energy.
Now, it is time to get familiarized with Cusco; a beautiful city that has conquered the heart of most travelers who visited it. So, get to know the authentic Cusco, on a private guided tour. After breakfast, discover Sacsayhuaman, an impressive fortified Incan ceremonial complex the construction process of which, still remains a mystery, given the huge size of some of the monoliths, used in its walls the average weight of which can reach up to 150 tons.
Then, explore San Blas; the artisans´ neighborhood, known for its Bohemian spirit, and learn the techniques used to make ceramics, in the area, in the course of a private display. Afterwards, visit the Qoricancha that once was the Incas´ most important temple, and was dedicated to Inti, their Sun God and main deity.
Finally, conclude your experience, in Cusco, with a guided visit of its San Pedro Market, where locals still use traditional and very peculiar ways of trading.
At the end of the visit, your guide will give you suggestions for the best place to have lunch at.

Day 8: HAVE DINNER AT LIMA´S PRE-COLOMBIAN HUACA PUCLLANA, AND FLY HOME!
The Huaca Pucllana is a pre-Colombian sacred site embedded in the heart of the District of Miraflores, in Lima.
We all know that going back home is the worst part of any vacations in Peru. So, WEA Travel will do everything possible to make it easy and without complications. To start, we´ll take you to Cusco´s Airport, where we´ll assist you throughout check-in procedures, to make sure you catch your flight to Lima, in good conditions. Then, at Lima´s Airport, a WEA Travel host will meet and take you to the Sacred Pre-Colombian Huaca Pucllana, to enjoy a gourmet dinner, with world-renown first-class Peruvian flavors, in the center of the District of Miraflores, before going back to the airport, to catch your return flight home.
